Breathe

A gentle, kinetic installation of floating light sculptures

Articulated circles of light float on the water, expanding and contracting, as if breathing. Each circle breathes with its own rhythm, creating a dialogue between them.

As light from the installation reflects on the surface of the water, it dances in a shimmering choreography – aquatic, plant-like, and mechanical, all at once. A breath both natural and technological.

Premiered and available for booking.

The first version of Breathe is premiering as part of RHS Bridgewater’s Glow 2025.

Light and water: future developments

Fully weather and waterproof, Breathe is a new commission inspired by the relationship between light and water. We wanted to play with reflection as an artistic material, in an installation designed to move in, and with, aquatic landscapes: from garden ponds and natural lakes to iconic city canals.

For the next iteration of this project, we want to build more sculptures, transforming aquatic sites into a landscape of breathing, glowing, techno-natural life-forms.

We also want to experiment with installing our kinetic sculptures underwater: to draw attention under the surface, and play with water’s depth, weight, and optic properties.

Outdoors. Nightime. A cluster of light up sculptures sit in front of glasshouse. The geometric shapes create vertical, horizontal, diagonal lines in the darkness. Rainbow coloured and bright, their reflection shimmers in the pond next to them.

Twist & Shine

Kaleider invites you to twist and shape our glowing light sculptures

Twist & Shine is a beautiful landscape of interactive light sculptures. They are made out of interconnected prisms that can be twisted into thousands of different shapes.

Every time someone changes the sculpture, they inherit their starting point from the people before them. By transforming the shape, they change the landscape and add to the sculpture’s story.

Members of the public can work together, or witness others playing.

Now available for booking.

Accessibility, playability & sustainability

Twist & Shine was developed with access in mind. The sculptures are friendly and light, and can be twisted from all different angles and heights. Big twists always require more than one person, inviting collaboration, creative expression, and intergenerational play.

The prisms are beautifully architectural and can be customised with bespoke designs and light colours. The sculptures invite audiences to explore and admire them from all angles, changing people’s perception of their surroundings.

Twist & Shine is made out of Correx, which is recyclable and made from minimum 30% recycled materials.
